About

About this experiment

Sonoeazy is an audio listening platform built around short human-recorded sounds. This event is a one-time test of the core hypothesis: that strangers will record a few seconds of audio in response to a prompt, and that the result — assembled into a listening artifact — produces something worth hearing.

The event runs for a fixed window. After it closes, submitted clips are reviewed and assembled into listening files that become available on the listening page. There is no algorithm, no account, no feed. Just a prompt, some voices, and a thing to listen to.

Sonoeazy runs this experiment. No individual name is attached to it.

Your recording

Recordings are submitted anonymously. Your IP address is hashed and used only for rate limiting. No account is required. Once submitted, your clip is stored and may be reviewed, approved, and included in the listening artifact. If approved, it may be heard by anyone who visits the listening page.

You may request removal of your recording at any time by contacting eric@sonoeazy.com. Include enough detail to identify your clip (approximate submission time, the prompt you recorded for, or any other identifying detail). Removed clips will not appear in the listening artifact.

Voice consent

Don't record other people speaking without their permission. Only record your own voice.

Age

By recording, you confirm you are 13 years of age or older.

Email opt-in

After submitting a recording, you may optionally provide your email address to be notified when the listening artifact is ready. This email address is collected only for that one notification. It is never shared with any third party. It will be deleted after the event closes and the notification has been sent.
